Jim Jenkins

Norman February 17, 1951-February 15, 2021 Jim Jay Jinkins ( Jimbo, Jim Jay, Jay) was born February 17, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas to Jim Alec Jinkins and Madge Elnora Anthony Jinkins. The family moved to Norman, OK in 1958, which became Jim's beloved community. He was an icon in Norman. He loved people, cars and involvement in community projects. Jim leaves behind a Legacy of love and connection. He will be greatly missed, but the warm memories of his smile and laughter will stay with us always. He is survived by his sister Tammy Jinkins Walton and her husband Jeff Walton of Harrah, OK., and many, many friends. If the measure of a life well lived is the people you've touched along the way, then Jim was the very definition of a life well lived. A future Celebration of Life "Party" will be announced. Jim didn't want a funeral. He didn't want people to be sad. He wanted everyone to be able to hug and dance and laugh.
